Since 2008, Dr. Craig Arendse has been a physician and nephrologist in private practice. His commitment to saving kidney failure patients through the development of dialysis technologies has led to the Western Cape's private dialysis facilities experiencing the fastest rate of growth. Dr Fatima Khan completed her undergraduate Medical Degree at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2008. She then pursued her Medical Internship at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital and proceeded to complete her community service at Leratong Hospital. During those 3 years, she demonstrated keen curiosity and developed a passion for Internal Medicine. Dr Khan selected Internal Medicine as the discipline in which to further her education. Fatima completed her training in Internal Medicine in 2011 through Wits University, and worked at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital, and Helen Joseph Hospital during this period. Thereafter she took employment in a private nephrology practise in Johannesburg in 2015, based at the Wits Donald Gordon Medical Centre, and a few hospitals in the East Rand. Subsequent to this Dr Khan undertook a three-year fellowship in Nephrology through Wits University. She trained at the Helen Joseph Hospital, Wits Donald Gordon Medical Centre and Charlotte Maxeke Academic Hospital. Whilst training, Fatima gained an interest in autoimmune mediated kidney disorders, especially transplant nephrology.
