What our experts say?

Helping others in need has always been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember.
After graduating from Wits Medical School in 2006, I spent my community service and internship years in hospitals in Klerksdorp and Johannesburg, respectively.
My interest in mental health care began during these years of practical training when I was exposed to a wide range of medical issues.
I had always appreciated and still adore the chance that psychiatry gives me to actually get to

My interest in mental health care began during these years of practical training when I was exposed to a wide range of medical issues.
I had always appreciated and still adore the chance that psychiatry gives me to actually get to know and understand my patients.
The University of the Witwatersrand is where I pursued my Psychiatry specialty.
I was accepted as a fellow to The South African College of Psychiatrists in May 2015 after completing my specialty training.
That same year, I also earned my Master of Medicine in psychiatry.
Stigma around mental illness was the focus of my master's thesis.
At particular, my research focused on the attitudes of medical professionals regarding psychiatry and mental illness in South African teaching hospitals.
Since May 2017, I have been working as a private practitioner, and I remain committed to all of my patients' long-term mental health.
