In 1923, he relocated to Grahamstown and opened a dealership for Dort automobiles. He relocated to Port Elizabeth the following year and opened a gas station selling Atlantic fuel. Since this business venture was successful, there are now five gas stations. When tyre retreading was a successful and profitable industry, a factory was established in 1930 and operated for many years. All of the major motorcycle dealerships in Port Elizabeth joined the Honda motorcycle franchise after it was added in 1968. Over 25 years ago, the Supa Quick network was introduced, and Supa Quick fitment centres were added to each of the filling stations.
