On August 6, 2022, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friends of Kloofendal and the West Rand Astronomy Club will host their yearly Stargazing in the Kloof event at Kloofendal Nature Reserve. The globe stroll around the amphitheatre will begin the evening before dusk. The planet walk provides information about each planet as well as a sense of the size of our solar system. The Ecological Centre will then host a presentation on astronomy and related subjects, which will be followed by a club member-manned telescope viewing event. The participants will demonstrate some of the nocturnal sky's hidden wonders and respond to numerous inquiries. At Yebo Gogga, Kloofendal's friends will be there. Come in for a conversation if you are visiting the exhibition. An important focus of the free interactive scientific show is biology. Students gain knowledge about the environment and sustainable life. The Friends of Kloofendal Schools Program aims to instil a respect and fascination for nature, as well as an awareness of how it works, how much we depend on it, and the need to protect it. The initiative helps teachers by improving the educational opportunities for students in all grades. Read MoreA nonprofit organisation called Friends of Kloofendal was established in August 2002.
