The demand for Italian goods increased daily, so Claudio and Margaret made the decision to expand their product lines by bringing in additional Italian goods like cold cuts, coffee, pasta, tomatoes, water, wine, and olive oil. In 1996, a new location was finally purchased in Kensington. The addition of a well-equipped delicatessen to the company's operations helped the new location establish itself as a destination for the assortment of cheeses and Italian goods that were distributed throughout Johannesburg and Pretoria. Claudio and Margaret hired 15 employees as their small business expanded quickly to meet demand. The Kensington location was too small after 5 years, so the Cremalat Cheese factory as it is today was built in Greenhill Industrial Estate. Claudio and Margaret also had success in 2010 when they opened their own restaurant, La Cucina @Cremalat. Tragically, Claudio Giustizieri passed away in 2012, but Margaret continued their dream in memory of him. After 27 years since opening a small booth at the Bryanston market, Cremalat Cheese now employs 50 people, operates two delis in Johannesburg and Pretoria, and exports Italian food products to 13 Sub-Saharan nations in addition to South Africa.
