Everyday People is a diverse church in the city of East London, South Africa. We would like to think we are a bunch of Everyday People, following an extra-ordinary God and Saviour. We believe that the Gospel (The Good News of Christ) has the power to bring much joy to our city and the people who live in it. So we preach this Gospel trusting that our lives and conduct will show Christ to those who aren't yet following Him. We uphold the Gospel's centrality in our preaching; think that every Christ-follower is called to be a missionary to their context, both locally and globally; acknowledge that we are powerless without the Holy Spirit of God; and try to live in a warm and loving manner toward those in our church family and those in our city. Our church was birthed by Mission, a new follower of Christ, Reuben Roebert - decided to preach the Gospel to kids under a tree in the suburb of Greenfields, East London, South Africa - more than 75 years ago. This led to a church opening its doors in 1939 as Greenfields Baptist Church. Today we are known as Everyday People. Our calendar is set up for public sharing so that you can save them directly to you pc or smart device. We've also provided links here to What's on in and around East London. Read More
